A beautiful agriturismo 10 minutes from Montalcino
This beautiful agriturismo is only 10 minutes’ drive from the nice town of Montalcino, surrounded by olive trees and the famous Brunello vineyards. You will be warmly welcomed. I have been to Montalcino several times because I love this lovely old town, famous for its Brunello wine. However, I didn’t know much about the area south-west of Montalcino, where this farmhouse is located. What a lovely area, and everywhere you look you will see hills clad in vineyards and dotted with cypress trees. In this beautiful landscape you will find small authentic villages but the main attraction is the world famous castle of Banfi Brunello winery. Definitely worth a visit!
Amidst all this beauty you will find this agriturismo, which has recently been completely renovated. This used to be a guest house where people came to enjoy the local cuisine and wines and where they could sleep well after a nice dinner and a little too much wine. This nice informal atmosphere was retained after the renovation. The original details together with the mainly natural materials used during the renovation and a beautiful and comfortable interior makes this agriturismo a wonderful place to enjoy the Tuscan countryside, the tranquility and the local cuisine. The manager makes sure that nothing is missing during your stay and "la mamma" is in the kitchen to prepare a delicious Tuscan dinner with local products and seasonal ingredients. In the summer, both breakfast and dinner are served outside on the terrace overlooking the ancient olive grove.
Tennis court, pool and small spa
There is atennis court, which is illuminated at night, so even in the evening you can play a game of tennis. There is a large pool (8 x 18 meters) and in the former “fienile” (barn) is a small spa with sauna, Turkish bath, whirlpool, aromatherapy showers and an ice shower. It is also possible to visit the agriturismo’s wine cellar.
The rooms
There are 12 rooms in total, divided into three types: Classic, Deluxe and Prestige, depending on the size of the room. All rooms have WiFi, air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar and even a stocked wine fridge. The rooms are beautifully decorated with local handcrafted furniture and curtains in warm colours and towels and linen of high quality.
In short
A beautiful, quiet, luxurious agriturismo, with a homely and informal atmosphere. The ideal place to enjoy the magnificent Brunello vineyards and the local cuisine.
