Serenely situated agriturismo with friendly owners, in the Marche

On a beautiful day in spring I visited this recently renovated agriturismo and especially the quiet location and the hospitality of the owners convinced me to put them on my site. A well-maintained dirt road of a few kilometres, brings you past woods and meadows to the agriturismo. It's a completely renovated old hamlet and the colourful red farmhouses crown a hill with beautiful views over the Marche. There is even still a small chapel.

The owners do not live on the property itself, but most days they are around for guests and to oversee the activities of the farm. The agriturismo is one of the largest truffle farms in Italy and you are invited for a guided tour and tasting. There is a fenced pool with a Jacuzzi area and sun loungers and parasols. In addition there is a playground and a large BBQ area with tables and chairs. Inside there is a large shared living room with a ping pong table for the kids. There is also a beautiful room with tables and chairs that guests may use for communal dinners or other activities. On request, dinner is prepared a few times a week for guests (with truffle, a BBQ or pizza). And bread is baked each day for breakfast.

The nearest place with shops, bars and restaurants is some 20 minutes away by car. Nearby, Gubbio and Urbino are certainly worth a visit: it’s not for nothing that they figure on Unesco’s World Heritage list. And a day at the beach is also on the cards: it’s three quarters of an hour to the coast. It’s especially good walking and cycling country, and at the agriturismo you can hire mountain bikes (10 Euro a day or 30 Euro a week). And they organise nice walks to Monte Nerone, including lunch (20 Euro per person).

The apartments

The agriturismo has seven apartments of different composition. Each apartment has a private terrace with pergola or veranda with table and chairs. The interior is functional and each apartment has satellite TV, wifi and a kitchen with fridge/ freezer and microwave.

This is a lovely serenely situated agriturismo in the Marche with friendly owners and it is suitable for children. In addition to your apartment you have access to a large shared living and dining area for all guests.
