Glamping in the heart of Tuscany and enjoying views  

The enterprising owner of agriturismo 95 has set up 6 comfortable safari tents on the most panoramic part of his estate. At the top of a hill and with an amazing view over the Tuscan hills and Volterra. No busy campsite, but a place to enjoy the peace, the natural environment and Tuscan country life at the nearby agriturismo. It’s about 500 metres along a country road from the safari to the agriturismo. If you prefer to go by bike, you can rent various sizes  at the reception. At the agriturismo (# 95), there are apartments, and B&B rooms  for rent, and there is a panoramic swimming pool, with a shallow area for children, and sun beds. There is also a playground, a ping pong table and  table football. There are some farm animals around too and a riding school where you can learn to ride a horse (or a pony if you are a child). You can use all these facilities as a tenant of a safari tent.

Restaurant and dinner evenings

The agriturismo has a restaurant where you can have breakfast and eat in the evening à la carte. Three times a week there is a great dinner evening, also for guests of the safari tents. On Saturday evening you will be welcomed with tasty Tuscan appetisers, on Tuesday there is a pizza evening and on Thursday a pasta evening, where the children can make their own fresh pasta. The pizzas,and the bread for the dinners is baked in their own wood-fired oven. The agriturismo consists of a total of 4 farmhouses and the dinner evenings are always well attended. On Saturday there is live music and entertainment for the children. If you book a stay of one week, dinner during these evenings is free and you pay only for your drinks. For shorter stays, dinners are for a fee. 

Bar with terrace

There is also a bar with a terrace where you can get cappuccino, delicious Italian ice cream or a good local wine. There is also a shop where you can buy the produce of the agriturismo and much more.

The agriturismo, where they make olive oil and grow grain, is beautifully situated in the Tuscan fields, but the nearest village with some shops is about 10 km away. The spectacular town of Volterra is about 20 minutes away on a panoramic route and to the coast it’s over an hour. So a day at the beach is also feasible.

The safari tents

There are a total of 6 safari tents, some are for 4 and some are for 6 people. Each safari tent has a spacious veranda with stunning views. On your private veranda there is a table with chairs, a bench or two easy chairs. The four-person tents have a living area with kitchenette (with fridge and two-burner stove), a small bathroom with shower and toilet, a sleeping cabin with a double bed and a sleeping cabin with bunk bed. There is also a loft bed for 2 people in the living area

Wifi can be found at the central part of the agriturismo (at the reception and the restaurant), about 500 metres from the safari tents.

This agriturismo is an absolute must for those who want to experience glamping in the Tuscan countryside. Very child friendly and with lots of fun activities. Please note, the safari tents are about 500 meters from the swimming pool, riding stables, bar and restaurant!
