Small agriturismo in le Marche, 20 minutes from the sea
This small agriturismo is quietly situated in the hills of the Marche, just 20 minutes drive from the beach. Tourism in the Marche region is emerging and in my opinion rightly so. You have spectacular beaches, the interior is beautiful and hilly and a little further inland you have high mountains whose peaks are snow-covered until spring. In the hills there are picturesque villages to explore and there’s a long list of places worth visiting.
For example, the city of Urbino (on the list of UNESCO ) or the smaller Urbania, Gubbio and the coastal towns of Pesaro and Fano. Then there’s the wine region around Jesi, known for the white wine Verdicchio, or duty-free shopping spot San Marino also to be recommended. Furthermore, the caves of Frasassi are an attraction in the Marche and the beautiful beaches of the Conero Natural Park are certainly worth a visit. For beautiful beaches closer by, you can also go to Senigallia.
Panoramic pool
The agriturismo has a large pool with for each apartment an umbrella and two sunbeds. The pool is quietly situated and you have beautiful views over the hills of the Marche. Furthermore, the agriturismo has a communal BBQ, a washing machine and there is WIFI (note, not always good reception in all apartments). 5 kilometres away is a pretty village with some shops and a highly recommended pizzeria (tested it myself!).
The apartments
The agriturismo consists of an old farmhouse which has been beautifully converted into four comfortable apartments. Three apartments have 2 bedrooms with double beds. The two apartments on the ground floor have a beautiful veranda overlooking the lower pool area and the hills. The two apartments on the first floor have a private pergola in the garden where you have fine views over the surrounding cornfields. Each apartment has its own outside table and chairs for dining and a private lounge set. In the apartments there is underfloor heating and air conditioning, a safe and satellite TV.
